Yak (Bos Grunniens Mutus)
group, threshing barley in a manner that has been passed down through the
generations done during autumn harvest. Barley is the Ladakh staple crop. Shown
in Photoskar village, Ladakh, northwest India, Himalaya.
Threshing machines are slowly
making their way into Ladakh but this man prefers the traditional methods.
