The Krom Boomssloot, also written as Kromboom ditch, a canal in the Lastage (Nieuwmarkt area) in the center of Amsterdam . The canal was in 2007 elected as one of the most beautiful streets of Amsterdam.
The Kromboom ditch is about five centuries old. The canal was named after the 16th-century shipbuilder and mayor Cornelis Pietersz Tree .
