INDIAN BISON (GAUR)
Gaur is the largest wild bovid alive today
Gaur (Bos Gaurus) is the largest extant Bovine of India,
native to South Asia and Southeast Asia. They
are largely confined to evergreen and deciduous forests. The western Ghats constitute of the most
extensive strongholds of Gaur. Due to
their formidable size and power, Gaur has a few natural enemies. Only the tiger and the salt water crocodile
have been reported to kill a full-grown adult.
There are several cases of tigers being killed by gaur too.
The
gaur is the State Animal of the State of Goa in India.

INDONESIA POSTCARDS COLLECTION
AURORA
Arctic
Circle, Aurora Borealis (Northern
Lights) and Antarctic Circle, Aurora Australis (Southern
Lights)
An Aurora, sometimes referred to
as a polar light, is a natural light display in the sky, predominantly
seen in the high latitude regions.
Northern latitudes, Arctic Circle, aurora borealis (or the northern
lights)
The aurora
borealis, or northern lights, appears when solar wind particles collide
with air molecules in the earth's atmosphere, transferring their energy into light.
Southern counterpart, Antarctic Circle, aurora australis (or the southern
lights), has features that are almost identical to the aurora borealis and
changes simultaneously with changes in the northern auroral zone.
