BURNHAM PARK #270554

BURNHAM PARK is an urban park located at the heart of the City of Baguio, in the Philippines.  It was named after the American architect and urban planner.  Daniel Hudson Burnham who laid the plans for the city.  The park features a man-made lake situated at the center where tourist can enjoy boating with rented boats.  At the southern part of the park, a skating rink was constructed.  The Melvin Jones Grand Stand and Football Field at the eastern part of the park are normally used for several activities likes parades, concerts, and political rallies.  The Children’s Park and the Orchidarium is located at the western part of the park.  There are also bike rentals if one so wishes.  You can rent either single bikes, tandem bikes or even bikes with side cars.

LUNETA PARK #370247

Located along Roxas Boulevard, City of Manila, Philippines, and adjacent to the old walled city of Intramuros.  LUNETA PARK (now RIZAL PARK) is a historical urban park, and has been a favourite leisure spot frequented on Sundays and national holidays.  It is also an important site of Philippine history, and one of the major tourist attractions of the City of Manila.

  RETIRO POND (Estanque del Retiro) - a large beautiful man-made pond located in northern entrance of the first biggest park of Madrid city,  the Buen Retiro Park ("Park of the Pleasant Retreat"). The pond is similar to New York’s Central Park pond.  It is home of large koi fish, turtle, white ducks, and black swans.  On the eastern edge of Retiro’s Pond is a grand statute of King Alfonso Xll, featuring a semicircular colonnade and an equestrian statue of the monarch on the top of a tall central core".  Visitors usually strolling by, huddle near the surface along the pond’s wall or just standing at the pond’s edge.

RIZAL PARK #270400

RIZAL PARK (also called LUNETA PARK) is a historical urban park located along Roxas Boulevard, City of Manila, Philippines, adjacent to the old walled city of Intramuros.  Since the Spanish Colonial Era, the Park has been a favourite leisure spot, and is frequented on Sundays and national holidays.  It is one of the major tourist attractions of the City of Manila.  Situated by Manila Bay, Luneta is also an important site in Philippine history.  The execution of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal on December 30, 1896, sparked the 1898 Philippine Revolution against the Kingdom of Spain.  The area was officially renamed Rizal Park in his honor, and the monument enshrining his remains serves as the symbolic focal point of the Park.

Komodo is part of the Lesser Sunda chain of islands in Indonesian archipelago and one of three major islands of the Komodo National Park. It lies between the substantially larger neighboring islands Sumbawa to the west and Flores to the east. The island's surface area covers 390 square kilometres. Administratively, it is part of the East Nusa Tenggara Province.  The island is particularly notable as the habitat of the Komodo dragon, the largest lizard on Earth, which is named for the island. Komodo was accepted as a biosphere reserve under the UNESCO Man and Biosphere Programme in January 1977, in 1980 it was declared  World Heritage Site and a Man and Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1986 as part of Komodo National Park, both indications of the Park's biological importance. The island is also a popular destination for diving and it has been included into the controversial New7Wonders of Nature list since November 11, 2011.
